SafePik Onboard is used by private security agencies to record and verify the guards they employ. This page explains how to have that data corrected or deleted, and who decides.
SafePik does not own the data and cannot decide on its own to delete it.
The security agency that employs the guard is the Data Fiduciary — it decides what is collected and why, because the law requires the agency, not SafePik, to verify its employees. SafePik is a Data Processor: we hold and process the data on the agency's instructions, under contract.
So a deletion request goes to the agency. We will pass one on, and we will act on the agency's instruction, but we will not delete an agency's records without its instruction.
Contact the agency that employed you. They can correct or delete your record.
If you cannot reach them, or they do not respond, write to us:
Email: privacy@safepik.org
Subject line: Data deletion request
Tell us:
We will identify the agency, pass your request to them, and tell you what happens.
Please do not send your Aadhaar number, PAN, or any document by email. We do not need them to find your record, and email is not a secure way to send them.
You can correct records yourself in the agency portal.
To delete a guard's record entirely, email privacy@safepik.org from the address on your account, naming the agency and the guard. We will confirm before deleting anything.
To close your account and delete everything, email the same address. Your records are removed six months after closure.
To delete your own account, ask your agency owner, or email privacy@safepik.org.
We would rather explain a real limit than promise something we cannot deliver.
Anything the agency has disclosed elsewhere. If the agency has already used your details to apply for verification, that copy is outside SafePik and we cannot recall, amend or delete it. Ask the agency that enrolled you; they made the application and they know where it went.
Records the agency is legally required to keep. Section 15 of the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005 requires an agency to maintain a register of its guards. If a deletion request conflicts with that obligation, the agency will refuse it, and we will tell you that is the reason.
We acknowledge your request within 3 working days and complete it within 15 days of the agency instructing us.
Before a record is erased, we notify the agency at least 48 hours in advance, as the DPDP Rules, 2025 require.

We respond within 7 days.
